I know it’s Monday…so why not start the week with an easy diy?? this project is a upcycle and can be made with any jar that you have in your house…just depends on how long you want the project to take..
I did use baby food jars from my son.. No he’s not eating baby food still…I thought they would come in handy for a futrue project..so I washed and saved them as my son used them..
This idea was initially for a candle holder..but I did use this same holder as a topiary base in my centerpiece post I wrote a couple of weeks ago.. It’s very versatile..
My inspiration for this was a beautiful ruffle skirt that my daughter used to wear as a little girl.. So pretty and full of texture in complementary hues of pink.. It just reminded me of her sweet innocent days..and that is how this project came to be..
Supplies Needed
2 complementary Tissue Paper packs
Mod Podge
Scissors
Jars
cut up your tissue paper in squares or you can rip them into small pieces…I would reccomend to make sure that you have all of your tissue paper cut before you start applying on the jar because it will get messy..
Once you have your tissue paper cut take each piece and roll into a loose ball..Dip one end into the mod podge and apply to your jar.. Create a funky pattern and have fun with it..
Let it dry overnight and voila you have a beautiful ruffle candle holder!
Share your project with us and send a pic my way!!
